The Marseilles Soap Museum is to be found in an old drying-room,
within the Marius Fabre soap factory.
The museum recounts the fascinating story of soap in Provence, which starts in the Middle Ages.
The Marius Fabre company has conserved precious evidence : carved boxwood stamps, tools,
early soap moulds, stencils for wooden crates, old packaging, company stationery, wash-boards…
This museum is the living reflection of a traditional activity that has been the Marius Fabre family's enterprise for over a century.
